Shadows of Knight - I’m Gonna Make You Mine (1966)
Another great garage rock tune that I’d never heard until recently. Cool guitars and snarling vocals from Jim Sohns. (I do not condone the caveman level lyrics)
So be prepared

Shadows of Knight - I’m Gonna Make You Mine (1966)
Another great garage rock tune that I’d never heard until recently. Cool guitars and snarling vocals from Jim Sohns. (I do not condone the caveman level lyrics)
So be prepared
you can leave your horse behind
but your horse can’t dance and if he can’t dance
Well, he’s no horse of mine
In a world of nightmares,
you’re a sweet, sweet dream…
just about the prettiest thing that I’ve ever seen.
I’ve been waiting so long for a girl like you to come by.
Tell me baby, will you be mine for 25 to life?
…I am most happy with a sketch we did on Portlandia, about a guy named Ghavin who has a professional recording studio at his house. He invites a friend over and gives him a tour of the place. Much of the dialogue is about microphones, drums, and the recording equipment used on the album Pet Sounds. That’s basically it. It is inspired by a friend of mine named Woody, who once gave me a tour of his home recording studio. I just love the fact that there is a sketch about microphones and recording engineers that exists out there on TV and online. Also, Jack White was in town while we were shooting, so we got him to be in it. A really nice ending to the piece. I felt very lucky.
A friend of mine was kidnapped and held hostage for the purpose of sex trafficking
She was afraid to call the police, not only because of what the kidnapper might do if she was caught, but also because she was afraid of being arrested
That’s right
A woman was kidnapped for sex trafficking and she was afraid to call the police
It took her 3 days of being held hostage before she finally called, thinking jail was better than her current situation, and guess what? SHE WAS ARRESTED.
The police arrested a victim of sex trafficking, because she called for help
This is what your anti-prostitution laws are doing. This is what you are supporting.

I have parents who only let me buy clothing from the women’s section, so I thought I would compile a list of places I know you can find masculine clothing in the women’s section for all the other transmasculine people who might be closeted or have parents like mine! If you know of any I’ve missed, please send an ask to my personal blog kaikev
Note that some of these stores/brands may be more expensive than others if they aren’t on sale. I also apologize in advance if these stores are not accomodating to plus sized individuals; I don’t have any experience with that and if anyone has suggestions for additions to these lists, please tell me!
Button down shirts/flannels:
T-shirts:
Pants (I recommend chinos because they tend to be less curve hugging and have bigger pockets):
Shorts (these are hard to find in the women’s section unless you can get athletic shorts):
Jackets/Hoodies/Sweatshirts:
Formalwear (specifically blazers/suits. If you’re looking for button down shirts, see the section above as well):
Shoes:
Swimwear (rash guards and boardshorts):
Binders/High compression sports bras:
I hope this helps! Please feel free to send me more suggestions if you come across anything helpful - this post will probably be edited to add more links so check back every once in a while and reblog again for your followers and for updates!
Bobby’s just a friend of mine
he’s on his back
i’m on his mind
he wakes me when he goes to work
his hands are cold
his breath is smoke
i’d leave him for you

if you want me to
i’d leave him for you
if you want me to
i’d leave him for you
if you want me to
When you understand that kids and teenagers being salty about literary symbolic analysis comes from a very real place of annoyance and frustration at some teachers for being over-bearing and pretentious in their projecting of symbolism onto every facet of a story but you also understand that literary analysis and critical thinking in regards to symbolism is extremely important and deserves to be not only taught in schools, but actively used by writers when examining their own work to see if they might have used symbolism unintentionally and to make sure that they are using symbolism effectively:

Really all that needs to happen is for teachers to dial it back a bit. Like I love literary analysis probably more than the next teenager but like there’s a limit and their crossing it which is the problem.
